Great catch from Barnard, i think we're in with a good chance of winning this game.

Bowling a bit loose so far, 34 off the first 6 overs.

It's a shame they didn't push Bethell up to 4, we might have declared by now and had them a couple of wickets down. I think we will bat for a few overs tomorrow morning to guarantee at least a draw, but i'm still hopeful we can bowl them out if we have enough overs. Here's hoping Chris Woakes can strike form tomorrow and grab a few early wickets.

What are we doing, playing for a draw? After 48 overs i was hoping we would have made around 200, we're around 70 runs short of where we would like to be. Hain 3 off 40 balls, what's that all about? Very strange tactics.

What a magnificent innings by Michael Burgess to score 147 batting at number 8. Credit to Woakes and Booth too for backing him up and taking the score past 400.

Early lunch taken at 12.30

It's obvious that Burgess is a far better (championship) batter than Mousley or Bethell, he should be coming in at 6.

Briggs is rested, so Lintott will replace him and i think Booth will come in for Miles.

Possible team: Rhodes, Davies, Mousley, Hain, Barnard, Bethell, Burgess, Woakes, Booth, OHD, Lintott.

We still look a bit light in the bowling department, gutted that Norwell is injured again.

It's probably in Moeen's contract that he skippers the T20 side. Harsh on Davies if that's the case.

So England crash out of the T20 World Cup, thrashed by India. Our bowling was below par, and our batting was woeful. Yes, both Axar & Kuldeep bowled excellently but our first three batsmen played awful shots to get out & we never recovered after that.

England fly home tomorrow, will Moeen be available for next Friday's T20 match?

Moeen was named as our T20 captain before the season started, perhaps it was uncertain whether England would select him for the T20 World Cup? If England lose today they will fly home tomorrow, or if they reach the final they will be back on Monday. Our next T20 game is on Friday 5 July, so he could possibly be back for that?

I reckon that Moeen will be available for the rest of our T20 campaign, and that the reason Benjamin has been kept in the side is purely keeping Moeen's place warm at Number 6! After all, it would be extremely harsh to drop anyone else from our T20 side so it makes sense that, if available, Moeen will replace Benjamin. So now the logic for keeping Benjamin in the side becomes clear - that's my theory anyway!

I wonder what team we will put out on Sunday at Taunton? I don't think that the batting line up 1-7 will change, although if Yates is fit he may come back into the side. Will Woakes be able to get through another match, he bowled 34 overs against Hampshire. Miles is likely to be replaced, Booth or Norwell to come in? Maybe both if Woakes is rested? Will Hassan Ali be fit to play, if so he might come into the equation.

Possible team: Rhodes/Yates, Davies, Mousley, Hain, Bernard, Bethell, Burgess, Briggs, OHD, Woakes/Booth/Norwell/Ali

Sam Hain is a class act, and well played Michael Burgess too. Well done to OHD as well for seeing out 11 balls at the end. Lucky to get a draw though, we were outplayed by Hants for most of the match.

I thought Miles had edged that one, given not out but now he's been clean bowled. Up to you OHD!

In my opinion, the problem is that we have a team set up to compete in T20 cricket, but is not good enough to compete at the top end of the Championship. Too many of our bowlers are either over 30 or suffer from injuries during the season. It's ok for some of them to bowl 4 overs a match in T20 but how many of them can manage 20 overs+ in a Championship game? Also, i do not feel that the Captain is pro-active enough in Championship cricket, i appreciate that it's his first season in charge but we need more innovation from him during matches.

Barker strikes again! Both openers gone, it's going to be a tough day.

Norwell bowled 24 overs in the match, taking 4 wickets. A likely starter for Sunday i would imagine.

I think we are the only side in Division One who has failed to take 20 wickets in a match so far this season.

They've declared, we need 498 to win. Davies & Rhodes had a partnership of 200+ earlier on in the season against Durham, something akin to that is needed now!

They'll want a bowl at us before end of play tonight - maybe 10/12 overs?
