I think he will just play home tests now, maybe the odd game overseas depending on conditions.

Maybe he fancied a crack at captaincy or vice captaincy and the Davies/Barnard decision has made him consider moving on.

A lot of pissing about this morning and to miss out on the bonus point for 400 is poor.

Agree. Briggs should have sacrificed himself, bonus points will be crucial if there's not many wins about.

Incredible effort to give us a sniff, Yates outbowling Briggs.

I'm also impressed we used 9 bowlers.

So Miles in for Booth I guess.

Hain, Hassan Ali, Booth, Norwell unavailable.

An overseas bowler tbc soon.

No Chris Woakes again?

He's in the IPL, not that he's had a game yet.

8th according to that then, I'm not as pessimistic but don't think we will be challenging.

Depends if he ends up in their t20 squad as if he does that pretty much rules out April to June. In which case we need to sign another overseas.

Good team on paper, not sure about the availability of Mo and Hasan because of the T20 World Cup?

Not that I go much as I'm based in South Yorkshire now, but honestly who would pay 30 quid minimum for a Blast game to park, that's just crazy. It is indicative sadly of the huge rise in cost of anything to do with the sports and entertainment industry, gig tickets for example are really high.

Is the Blast also going to clash with the World Cup, meaning a lot of players won't be available?

Just had an email about this, but had to laugh when the blurb mentioned a look back on our title challenge as I must have missed that!!

Think he's a more than decent one day player, left armer which helps and scores quickly and fields well. Not too fussed if he plays in the CC as I'm sure we will sign others for that.

Interesting to see Rob Yates appearing relatively high in the rankings, particularly in the County Championship

No one tell Highveld it will upset his agenda....

Looks like Crawley hasn't joined in the Kent game anyway. Totally mystified that Surrey on the other hand have been able to add 2 batters to their line up, to I assume replace 2 bowlers.

So we finish 3rd if we draw and Hants lose?

Have we had an overseas batter as poor as Braithwaite!!?

Great win!!

Gutted for Briggs!

Joking aside its Autumn, why are we playing 2 more rounds of championship cricket?
