I found a lot of it begrudging to be honest. Telegraph talked about ugly batting. Scyld Berry had a pop. Guardian said it didn’t have romance of Somerset or Notts.

Specialist writers a bit better but not much!

Can't see there would have been any romance in Notts winning back to back titles!

Unfortunately this is a West Midlands/Birmingham thing. Our sporting successes are played down, we don't get the praise like London or Manchester based teams, or plucky outsiders from the South West. Our best football team is patronised because they're not one of the media darlings.

We will just have to keep on winning things, they might get the message eventually.

Brian Halford reports how Suthar feels about playing for the Bears:
"I am so very happy to have been part of this journey for the Bears and the last game was wonderful to be part of. The crowd was a big part of our success, 100 per cent, from the first day, when there were so many people there willing us on, to the last when they all cheered us over the line.
“I just send big thanks to all the supporters. They are fantastic. The support for Warwickshire is unbelievable and this season has given some lifetime memories to me. Hopefully I will be back at Edgbaston at some point.
"The whole club and every player has been very supportive to me," he said. "I was so happy to be able to come back for the last four games. It is a very special thing to be part of. Winning the title is a great experience and I am really pleased to have contributed some wickets. The whole experience has been wonderful."

Top bloke, welcome back anytime.

Wonderful stuff!! Watched the live stream with a massive smile on my face from my Yorkshire home.

That is such crap, the England international is being replaced by a bloke who's played one first-class game. It's a good job we are in a good position otherwise it looks like a poor replacement nevertheless.

Yes that's ridiculous and on a par with the number of injury substitutions most teams seem to be making. Be interesting to see a league table of who has taken advantage the most.

What a wonderful player Sam has been for the Bears!
England selectors over the years, hold your heads in shame!😳

This one hundred times over, especially the England part.

This is when I wish I lived nearer and no longer worked but come on lads we can do this! Will be following on tenterhooks from the moment the coin is tossed tomorrow.

Are Leics appealing their deduction? Could affect their mindset going into the game if its reversed.

Its all going so well. Look forward to the permutations of how many points we will need v Leicester.

Notts have shit the bed here.

Shame. Puts them out the equation more or less. All eyes on Headingley.

Going to be an interesting couple of hours in Leeds and Hove, fingers crossed big time!

He means the Liam Norwell game I think when their ineptitude saved us from relegation.

Fair chance Notts will lose - not that I trust the Hants batting line up!

Looks like Hants are as bad as Glamorgan!!

Somerset have only got 38-0 which includes 17 extras!!!

101 for 0 sadly - think BBC cricket site playing up again.

Yes think Notts v Leics looks a nailed on draw now which is fine.

Excellent win! Hopefully Notts slip up now.

Given it looks like both Somerset and Notts have a good chance of getting at least four batting points, we really need to try to push on to do the same.

Unfortunately Abbott is such a good bowler so its not going to happen.

Our last 4 games are against sides in the bottom 5. However I feel the weather will decide this championship.

Is it a poor wicket, great bowling or poor batting?

Both sides have struggled somewhat today!!

Is Yates captain, BBC website says yes too?
