Looking forward to the rematch at Scarbados!

Some of the posts from the bedwetters on here on day 1 and early day 2 are hilarious!

The Bears top of the table at the moment. Somerset could overtake them; but Glamorgan need just 14 more to beat them with three wickets to fall. An exciting finish in prospect - and everyone's gone to have a cup of tea!

After the Essex game I (greedily) asked for an emphatic victory for once and boy did they deliver. I'm gonna greedily ask for me while the team must be high of confidence, and if a couple of batsmen can find form we'll be a complete outfit.

Notts will overtake us and Surrey will be just behind but this is a fantastic position to be in at this stage given we've already played both of them.

Let's hope the weather holds for next week's game and if we win that then we are serious title contenders.

What a brilliant win that is, the third innings was crucial but our bowling performance was superb. Great stuff from OHD & Bamber, Thompson too for chipping in with 5 wickets. Even more impressive when you think we were without Woakes, Barker & Gilchrist, with Booth only bowling 3 overs as well. The next game against Glamorgan should be exciting, they've just had a great win over Somerset and are only 5 points behind us so looking forward to that one.

Title credentials. A team trending in the right direction and resilient against whatever match situation or availability issue presents itself. Ethan Bamber goes from strength to strength in a Warwickshire shirt, OHD back at his rhythmical and consistent best, Sam Hain being Sam Hain and Yates gobbling it all up in the cordon.

Back it up against Glamorgan and we’ll be sitting very smartly going into the T20 block.

I am still sticking to my previous posts despite it though and despite the inevitable baiting because you have an in game opinion/remark regarding rank poor play. We are not consistent enough and it is frustrating because there is talent there, lets see if we can push on from here.

Davies needs dropping & we have to do better in our first innings and show more resilience, we will not get away with it against better teams and it has to be said that this Yorkshire side is poor.

I think we showed great resilience in this game, all out for 147 in the first innings with the opposition 137/4 in reply, to come away from that situation winning by 377 runs seems pretty damn good to me?? Say what you like about the strength of the Yorkshire side but they beat a good Somerset side last week. We’re 2nd place and only 6 points off first for goodness sake!

Special mention as well to Rob Yates for his excellent catching, 6 i think it was in the match. Also his 2nd innings score of 81, it helped lay the platform for our huge total and put us in a great position to win the game.

I don't think they've been inconsistent. But they have been less than perfect and I think that's fine. We all know what the imperfect parts are and you can generally carry these over the season. I think the only squads that are stronger than us are Notts and Surrey and we need to compete well against Somerset so table is good for us. Most important that all the players keep working and getting more confident as that has been an issue in the past. Coming back from setbacks is good evidence of improving confidence and overcoming inconsistency.

Could Zak Crawley be a long term solution for us at the top of the order?

Seems to have lost his way at Kent after England and might want a change of scenery and/or division one cricket. That would solve the Davies problem and allow him to bat lower down the order.

No. Hameed lost his form after being dropped by England, moved counties and is now flourishing

If Crawley is the answer, what is the question?

The question is, what batsman don't we want who cannot only not score runs for England but can't do it in the 2nd division.
