Obviously a tremendous win. Remember we won a very similar type of 4day game in very similar fashion away at Notts in April 2021 and we all know how that season ended up going...
Imagine a few posters on here have egg on their faces, "poor side" blah blah, do me a favour...we've got a decent crop of young players here and a few of them are homegrown, yes they're inexperienced and yes they'll make mistakes but maybe people should start to back them a bit more and support them. They'll be some bumps in the road and some bad days but they're showing up 1 or 2 of the senior guys right now.
Durham have recruited heavily this summer and have got some serious proven experience in the batting aswell as a pretty good seam attack, we'll come up against worse than Potts, Raine, Doggett and Hogg this season. Theyve lost 2 from 2 now though. Better side on paper, but we've done them in their own back yard. Durham are a good side too, theyll do a few teams up there.
So pleased for Booth shows what he's capable of when he consistently pitches it up. He'll drop out when Latham and Webster get here though won't he?
Barnard, man for the crisis. Kai Smith incredible, case for him playing solely as a batter if ever he loses the gloves to Latham or whoever.
Also a great advert for 4day cricket, incredible match, I'm sure some idiot on here was calling for the return of 3day cricket during the Sussex match, good grief...

Perhaps if our top order batsmen scored runs, and lived up to their reputations as 'the best opening partnership in the country' we wouldn't be dependent on the tail to get the runs needed.
Well done to Ed Barnard, Kai Smith and Michael Booth for getting us close to the total.
Good banter

I can remember a few 2 wicket wins but the last 1 wicket win I can remember, Lancashire 1986 with Anton Ferreira and Adrian Pierson getting us through.
Won by 1 wicket v Gloucestershire at home in 1999 I think? Giles got us over the line.
Hain - thought he'd put the lazy waft outside off stump away long ago.
Mousley - I don't know what to say about that one I'm afraid.
Big half hour now till lunch, really can't afford to lose another before the interval.
Think the rain might have a say after lunch tomorrow?
Little bit of up and down creeping in. Must bowl at the stumps even more so right now on this pitch..
Yep fair play, I had my doubts last season but people slagging him.after one game this season was a bit mad. He's almost single handedly keeping us in the game here.
Vish needs a few poles in this dig otherwise he'll be the one getting dropped if OHD gets fit for Notts at home.
Yeah Durham bat deep, Potts was 11 last week and he's batted 8 for England in the past.
That ball from Taz Ali to Rhodes was terrific. See yer Will!
Durham a good side who have recruited fairly well alongside some excellent homegrown players. Typically a hard place to go, a ground we seem to struggle on. Will Bedingham be back, will Doggett debut?
Any changes? Forecast seems decent again.
Booth not from the academy I don't think? But yes still more than we ever used to.
Signs rookie contract, about we had some more homegrown seamers on the books.
Pitch started to grip then in the last hour...
This pitch is pedestrian to say the least.
Openers did well, Highveld we having this?
Big test now against one of the better new ball partnerships.
Hard to say. NZ have a Test series v Zim in late June (I think), Aus have the WTC final in June then an all format series v West Indies in July. And I still think prior to all this Cricket Australia are going to have something to say about the amount of game time Webster potentially has with us.
Off the top of my head they'll be a 2 or 3 week period around the start of the Blast when all 3 are available. Latham probably the one who sits out in T20?

When it comes to Hasan Ali, when will he play?
We will already have Latham and Webster, am I missing something?
Yes at some point all 3 will be available at the at the same time.
