Recently diagnosed, or disclosed?

It's not unknown for players to deliberately not disclose an injury to secure a lucrative contract.

the clubs recruitment of overseas players has been bad for many years, which raises questions about the methods use to select overseas players, and if the club has limited itself to only dealing with one agent.

Hopefully he is more reliable and productive than some of his predecessors.

The club doesn't have a good record recently.

A question about the recruitment of overseas players, which has been very poor for many years.
Are we recruiting from all the players available, or are we only sourcing players from one specific agent? If the later, why? especially as the players provided have in many cases not been "fit for purpose"

There was a BBC Radio London stream, with comentary from the Local Surry reporter and Richard Wildofrd from BBC WM, available on the BBC Sport website and via the BBC sport App

That will be a serious upgrade with both bat and ball.

A second centry in the game for Sam Hain, it makes his omission from the first team even more mysterious.

Chris Benjamin got a double hundred in the first innings, with Kai Smith been the 3rd highest scorer.

Sam & Amir Khan, 122, put on 2 for the 3rd wicket.

It is very strange indeed, but having scored 101 off 158 suggests that physically he is well, and in a pretty decent place mentally.

Sam Hain is playing, and having a good stand with Chris Benjamin, after the first two wickets fell quickly.

Great to see Jacob Bethell getting his highest first team score for us today, hopefully it does even better going forwards.

I don't think the Barnard part of the equasion would be the issue, Ed Barnard is a great person.

It could be that the issue is actully from Robinson &/or Davies, rather than from Sam?

Agreed, hopefully he has the best wishes of all members here.

Anyone else find it concerning that Sam Hain is missing the fourth game in a row?

surely it is time that Ed is given his full county cap, especially as he is now VC and other players who have done less were given their caps last year.

Potentially a lot of space for parking on the site, definately a lot more than at Stratford or Binley Road!

The ground is about one mile walk from Rugby station, along a mainly flat route.

The school has an excellent catering operation, so there shoould be oportunities to see hospitality packages in a pitchside marquee, as well as the usual selection of mobile burger vans etc. for the county age group festivals last year there was an mobile coffee shop van, serving excellent coffe and paistries.

Rugby school is probably the best option available. It's a good well prepared playing area, in a town with good rail links to the West Midlands.

The main field used for first team games has a shaded grassed bank for viewing, plus I'm sure there will be many hundreds of folding chairs available, as well as temporary catering facilities.

Without massive financial investment, there is not a ground in the county that would be suitable for county first team cricket.

Unless a major sponsor agrees to underwrite all the additional costs involved, the club would be better playing the games at Edgbaston.

I have 13 after a few minutes of thought.

It would be interesting to know which counties the selectors were linked with, as that mat show a bias towards the selectors counties.

Even more rearkable is that the Kings School staff prepare 3 grounds for their program of schools games on the ground surrounding the county ground.

A match winning innings, and even better his family were there to see him play.

It is probably the closest viable "Outground" :-)
