Kelley isn't getting any runs in the B'ham league, despite being allowed to bat in the top 5 for his club.

A back up keeper and asome back up for Briggs have to be a priority over the winter.

Yorkshire finished the day on 13/2, there was no play after 4:46 due to rain.

Assume he was just signed for the day, as we were short of players.
Also, we have top order first team players involved in this game so may not have needed him.

A return to 4 day cricket after winning the SET20, at the Leeds Uni sports complex.

Tyler McGladdery is the only new name in the squad, a left hand bat/SLA from Burnley.
On a trial as with the T20 squad and injuries we need additional bodies.

Of course Dernbach & both Currans play/played for Surrey which always gives players an advantage at gaining and retaining an England place.

The situation in South Africa is complex, with sides not been selected purely on cricketing ability.
Also if a player has family links with the UK they may prefer to spend theri working life here.

He'd be on a student visa, unless he's already applied for EUSS. However for cricket purposes he'd be classed as an overseas player.

Matt Mongomery is a former South Africa U19 captain, whos spent the summer with Notts 2nd team.

Is there any news what Yates illness is?

He's been out for almost 4 weeks, very unusual for someone of his age.

Good to see Matt Lamb included in the squad he should have been included all the time.

Finals day for the Second Eleven T20 competition, with 9 wins from 10 games Warwickshire have qualified for the semi finals.

17:00 The Final

Good to see Andy Umeed is included in the squad, hopefully he has a successful return.

I fully understand why he chose to take a break with his family.
He has a wife and two young daughters who must have missed having him around for most the last year.

Very good to see Jacob Bethall is included in the squad for the first time.

I'd expect that the playing staff, and key support staff are probably taking regular tests to show they are covid free.
As a covid infected person can be contaheous for several days before they show symptons contat tracing takes place to find put, and then notify, anyone in contact with the covid infected person. Therefore it would not be a surprise if other members of the squad from the game at Leicester are found to test positive over the next few days.

I hope he is given the support he needs, not only to recover physically, but ensure he copes with the mental stresses of having to go through rehab and recovery again.

In many ways the mental aspects of injury and rehab are harder than the physical side of the situation.

Finals day is at, the wonderful, Arundel Castle ground next Thursday, June 24th.

Not sure if the captain indicator is accurate, but a great performance from Chris Benjamin.

Another trip to Newport CC to play Glamorgan in the tenth game, & final group game of the SE T20 competition.
Having lost the game yesterday, Warwicks have an 8-1 record so far, and did win a friendly second game yesterday afternoon.

I'd expect a very similar squad today.

Lost by 1 run, Velani making the most of his chance by scoring 62 off 54 balls, and was run out off the last ball.
