I think it might be time to move on from Woakes at international level. He won't be going to the ashes or even Pakistan/NZ so I think it is probably time to look at likes of Potts/Atkinson

I would hope this would mean Woakes plays a few seasons for Warwickshire but more than likely would see him at Big Bash/IPL and other t20 leagues

Great start again, shame about the constant buffering on the feed.

Can play both of them

I do like the fact the likes of OHD are having to work really hard for their wickets.

The kookaburra seems to be levelling out the weather conditions and giving the batsman some help..I don't see any issue with it

Yep batting does look weak...in fact if age catches up with Rushworth and OHD were really struggling

Club is betting on Mousely, Bethall and Yates becoming consistent.

Think Yates did fine however, I'd expect the younger lads to improve next season with a bit of consistency particularly Mousley

Talking to management after the game, they felt the umpires just wanted to go home early.

If that's the case a formal complaint should be made by the club

Couldn't ask for better weather for cricket at the end of September.

No wonder ppl my age can't be bothered to watch county cricket

Trying to explain to my wife why were not playing now.. I can't explain it myself. If there's standing water why are the groundsman doing nothing?

How are we not on here?!

Madness..delays today and the first day when we should have been on way before 2.10pm have likely robbed us of a very good day of cricket

The lads are playing with a football...really dangerous outfield..

Best weather of the week by miles and we're not playing

Sums up the stupidity of cricket at times

Have we had an overseas batter as poor as Braithwaite!!?

Bit harsh..4 games in September is difficult for an opener to acclimatise

At the time I thought it was a great signing, not worked out this time. Some you win some you lose..

Dissapointing to come off. Whilst it's certainly far from ideal, it is not dangerous. The Somerset attack is hardly rapid, keep playing as long as you can.

Some really positive batting from the tail enders, Wagner was very impressive. Always been a fan of his, would like him as our overseas for next year.

Not sure the bowling was that bad, notice we are a very quiet side, bit of pumping each other up might have kept the momentum going.

I think the quietness has more to do with the fact that realistically there’s nothing on the line for either side. Hard to get up for a game where it’s cold and damp, you expect it to be a rain effected draw, and you’ve nothing to gain from it. To the players third, fourth or fifth makes very little difference.
Seen them noisy as a group before, but typically when they’re still challenging for something.

Yep fair point. I think the last session was more about very good batting than anything we did/should have done.

We've bowled well but I do miss a battle between bat and ball..very few sessions this season where we've seen that.

Let's hope we get a few when we bat !

Inspection at 1.10

Lovely sunshine now..so we're just going to sit around for likely 3 hrs..how strange.

Wouldn't have a clue..

Seems like people questioning his place in the side and Ed himself acknowledging he could do more, has really helped him.

Constructive criticism isn't a bad thing...

Phew
