Whilst I don't disagree too much, I wonder if "cleaning up a tail" is less common than it used to be. Gone are the days when an Eric Hollies (or, for that matter, a Mark Robinson) was a walking wicket. Most tail-enders these days have at least some pretensions to batting skill; and if the ball is old and the pitch favourable to batting, wickets are not easy to come by.
We can only hope that applies to us today !
Awful session..needed to get stuck in
150 all out with a big deficit looming

My patience has run out with our captain now, every innings the same
Yep had enough chances.. brainless cricket when you need a captain to show the rest how to play
No one should be playing that shot..let alone the captain! That was awful and it's given them the impetus
Game is set up very nicely.
Hopefully survive this evening without losing a wicket and a good day for batting tomorrow

Went on the square at lunch time and ground staff were telling me how dry the wicket was. Said something like 200k litres of water put on it but the drainage is so good it just takes it away.
Said they tried to prepare this wicket differently to make it more lively and left it until late.
A good effort by our bowlers but I guess spin more and more vital as game goes on.
Yeah tbf there does seem some carry for the taller bowlers. Like to see bit of pace with Simmons shortly
Another flat slow pitch it seems...
Hoping the pitch offers a lot more than the previous game
Ideally there's something in the pitch for the spinners and Ali can play.
Out of the squad I'd probably have Smith and Rushworth missing out. I can imagine the bowlers will be feeling it still so an extra bowler will help.
Please let the pitch for Friday offer something
Great effort from the bowlers. Hopefully can put their feet up this afternoon

Latham giving everyone a lesson, when you get in on these sort of pitches you go big, you be greedy.
This is it..t20 mindset comes in and players get complacent. It's great to have a pro like Latham to guide the younger players
Great away performance
Seem to have more resilience in the side this year.
That was a class innings from Webster
Need to get Root soon or were in trouble

We are as brittle as biscuits with this line up.
I would be pretty surprised if we get near Yorks total
Yeah was a given at the start of the season that our batting line up would struggle. Latham will certainly help and Webster could add some quality to
Ouch this isn't looking good.
Middle order need to rescue us here

I assume the players will be taking pay cuts if this all happens?
And membership prices reduced ?
They will argue better quality but it's nonsense..they will still squeeze in the county championship in April, May and September
We desperately need some high quality experienced batsman to support the younger guys
I hope Latham and Webster coming in will provide some stability and that will hopefully take pressure off Hain who we really need (again) this season
Honestly it feels as though every year we go into the season relying our youngsters will prove their good enough straight away
Hopefully Mousley can stay in for the rest of the evening, will hopefully do his confidence some good.
Interesting to see what happens when Latham and Webster come in.
Need to get stuck in for the rest of the day
Poor excuse to blame this solely on the weather
Yes they've had the better of conditions but still..
We will see if the pitch/conditions are that bad.
