Potentially tricky day for us tomorrow if they pile on the runs and declare around lunch time
Very surprised to see us enforce the follow on
Felt we should have batted them out of the game and give ourselves 90 overs
Great win !! Vital after the last two games
Delighted that Webster got stuck in and showed his talent which is clear once he gets going.
Top order fails yet again
Needed to address this in the winter. Fingers crossed for middle order revival
Thick cricket..obvious we were about to go off...
Careless cricket from Webster
Need more from an overseas player...any player in fact
Team news ? Toss ?

I have heard that Webster bowls spin but not sure how good he is. If there isn't a front-line spinner then I would go with:
1 Yates
2 Davies
3 Hain
4 Malik
5 Webster
6 Barnard
7 Woakes
8 Smith
9 Booth
10 Bamber
11 Gilchrist
It might be that Smith won't play in which case maybe a surprise Lintott inclusion rather than yet another seam option but if Smith doesn't play then Mousley would probably get picked.
Would go with the same although Hain at 4. Is Barker injured? I thought hed at least be ij the squad
Hopefully not, nothing against him but we dont need him this season.
We certainly need another Batsman but we have needed one for the past three seasons..looking very light without Latham. Although we should have Webster for first game of the season

Much needed and im sure will be of great interest throughout the season
Seeing as I started this..I should answer
First X1 Davies Yates Malik Hain Webster Barnard Smith Woakes/Booth Bamber Gilchrist OHD
Top run scorer - Barnard
Wicket Taker - Bamber
First class position - 6th
Blast - Quarter finals (again)
Top player - Barnard
Young player - Smith
Most improved - Booth
Think we have done a good job with investing in our bowlers however, another year where we dont address our weakness in the batting. Worried by the openers and lack of quality alternative from 1-5

Woakes and Barker with the new ball, followed by Bamber and Booth/Thompson will do me.
We would still have OHD, Rushworth, Gilchrist and Simmons in reserve, although you would hope the latter would go on loan.
If we can sign an overseas batsman I think we're in a good position for next year.
Unfortunately bit of a 'meh' season sprinkled in with the odd quality.
If they got their way, likes of OHD would have even less cricket to play between June-August.
The reduction of 2 first class games would not have addressed the issue of too many games in April, May and September.
I assume Warwickshire were one of the counties who voted for the change, even without properly engaging with members?
I think it would be useful to know the counties who were in favour of maintaining the 14 round season. It's not perfect but the answer is certainly not to reduce it any further.
Looks like high winds all day, could be a day without cricket.

Key takeaway
At a vote, all Surrey players want a 14 game County championship 31-0.
Surrey CC are clearly proud of the CC and its their main priority and the membership and attendance shows that.
Damnnn 2 in a row.. we were looking very good.
Davies one looked a very poor decision
