When they came back on in those last few overs they both looked as if they would rather be anywhere else than bowling for us. It looked like they were bowling in the last game of the season rather than the first. We've lost Rhodes, Burgess, Benjamin, Norwell, Bethall (to a certain point) off the wages
I see short term investment in overseas players but we're putting a lot of faith in the youngsters

Yes would definitely go for Lintott. Deserves a chance and offers something different. We also have Yates who can do a job

Don't want the pitch to offer nothing however I'd certainly be happy with a batsman friendly pitch to build some confidence for the season
Unfortunately I think we're missing at least 1 quality batsman, a spinner and fast bowler.
If our overseas players have great seasons then I reckon we could finish mid table. If we have similar injuries as previous seasons it's going to be a tough season.
On the t20 front I have a feeling we will get to finals day this season.

Completely agree with you AJ, Robinson has to go to start with - if Larsen has got the balls to sack the man who was on the panel appointing him (!), if not the Management Committee have to act. Once we get a new Head Coach (Trotty - if he can leave Afghanistan ?!), he needs to look at all support Coaches, with Frost first. Then the playing squad (a major overhaul, depending on contracts), then the Captain, then the recruitment policy (Overseas and home based) ....... ! No one is bigger than the club but I'd pick Hain over the management any day.
I hope he comes back stronger next season. I wonder if he regrets not choosing Australia?
He must be frustrated seeing Mousley and Bethall picked over him for England
