Hants already dragging their feet making field changes for no good reason
I bet they will not bowl any spin either................umpires need to get them moving

Weather is fine for tomorrow its Friday that's the wash out.
Yes you are right, my mistake
Looking like a complete washout tomorrow
Bat out tonight and start swinging once we have seen out a few overs tomorrow, it is our only chance.
Bess has just inside edged one inches from his leg stump!
We cant accuse Gloucs of not trying...................well played them. Just bowled Yorkshire out!
And now Hants lead
I know we had to declare due to weather taking time out of the game but we now have too much to do.
Just watch Gloucs beat Yorkshire as well, leaving it in our own hands.
This is just not going to happen
They have 4 wickets left and are now only 15 behind. A reasonable lead going into the last knockings of day 3 and we will be done for.
Once again we cannot seem to take wickets further on into an innings, it has hurt us all season as has our batting.
Somerset's bowlers currently going for close to 5 an over
They are on the beach unfortunately, we have nobody else to blame for relegation than ourselves.
I don't want to speak too soon but at least Brad Wheal is bowling short, wide and overpitched for Hants as much as he did for us.
60 partnership for the 7th wicket at Kent for Somerset.
Overton will always be an issue if he is up for it with ball in hand..........
Yorkshire already have 1 bowling point
The Gloucs team that we could not finish off last week are currently 47/4 after them electing to bat first............do we think that Yorkshire will let them off the hook?
Thought not!
The club have 2 ways to react to this for next season.
Personally, I will be unhappy if we do not see a good number of the young players mentioned above being given starts in division 2. I would not be unhappy to see Briggs, Sidebottom, Davies and even Rhodes moved on.
Yes, we have got worse as the season has gone on with two of our worst performances in the last fortnight against the poorest 2 teams in the division.
Just to confirm;
Gloucs have not won a single match all season from 12 games in a summer with the least amount of rain affected matches in memory.
Lost 8 Drawn 4
Better this way than a nail biting finish on the last game I suppose.
Doesn't feel as bad!
Imagine what Abbas, Barker & Abbott are going to do to us next week?
We may as well try and go for anything short, wide or overpitched now and see where we end up. Only a win will do us and playing as we have done is not getting us there.
We have no composure at all.
Yates looks like he wants a boundary every ball and Davies has come in swinging as well.
It will either get the scoreboard moving or we will soon be 22/3
Yorkshire, Lancs, Surrey & Somerset regularly blood 18/19/20 yr olds and get them to bed in to become good experienced players by the the time they are early to mid 20's.
My beef with players like Davies, Sidebottom and this season Miles just to mention 3 is that we could have put our own youngsters with potential in and fight a relegation battle .
Bethell could have a bowl now and be smacked around the park like Briggs has been all season, at least he would get some experience from it.
6 down now but Gloucs are having a go at us with nothing at all to lose.
We need a 1st innings lead here to force a win or we are done for as it is looking like both Somerset & Kent are well on there way to victories.
Just on us producing talent.
I think that we do produce players, the problem we have is that we do not then bring them through properly. All of the clubs mentioned above put youngsters in and then let them evolve through thick and thin. Brookes, after a couple of seasons hampered by injuries is now looking a decent bowler, Yates despite having a poor season was more or less ever present opening the batting last season so the club bring in Davies to mess that up! Bethel should retain his place whatever happens to make him feel part of things especially as he can bowl, Mousley & Benjamin are both talented youngsters who need to feel part of the red ball set up. The Lamb situation is just baffling.
I know it is a different format but Brookes, Bethell, Benjamin and Mousley were all deemed good enough for the hundred but we cant find regular game time for them?
E Brookes & Johal have suffered imo from not being given regular game time at 1st team level.
