Brilliant bowling, especially by Taz Ali

I dont think Gloucs have done themselves any favours but we put the screws on them.

Please do not bring Thompson back on for another over

Good catch from Jani there

We have these opened up now if we can press on

Ah, ok thanks.

Just realised that Mousley is not in the team

Woakes all over Miles Hammond in that but ends up conceding 11.

Woakes is unlucky not to have taken more wickets

Thompson in the line up is a complete mistake.

Every time we have played Yorkshire he has gone for loads of runs...........16 off 1 over

Lovely ball from Bamber there, Hassan had to play at that

Resounding win and nice to see the top 6 all get scores on he board.

I am still sticking to my previous posts despite it though and despite the inevitable baiting because you have an in game opinion/remark regarding rank poor play. We are not consistent enough and it is frustrating because there is talent there, lets see if we can push on from here.

Davies needs dropping & we have to do better in our first innings and show more resilience, we will not get away with it against better teams and it has to be said that this Yorkshire side is poor.

I think that we have to start concluding that we are just not good enough, I am sick of reading that we always seem to get the rough end of the stick on the toss or that the pitch has flattened whenever we bowl. We don't & it hasn't.

Bamber just taking Brookes wicket as I type but he has been very expensive this morning & Brook has chucked that wicket away, just like we did on several occasions.

This makes no sense after only 4 games and the current game could still very much go either way.

This has been said for the last few seasons and we have failed to put in any kind of challenge. Our top under crumbles under pressure and it always seems to be on Haine, Barnard & the tails to give us a total. OHD has dug us out of the brown stuff once again this morning after being sent off to Worcester on loan. We struggle to take 20 wickets consistently despite having more seam bowlers than I can ever remember.

You can absolutely see why Yorkshire have struggled over the last couple of seasons the way that they have chucked at least 4 of their wickets away & despite bowling us out for next to nothing, they have a very average journeymen attack. Yes we are still in this game but you have to look at the standard of the opposition as well.

Cracker from OHD

Barnard opens in the one day game. Maybe him in for Davies with Smith WK.

Keep Yates & Mousley to rotate the RH, LH. Malik needs a run to see if he can do it, he is 28 not 18.

We have to start showing that we will make changes if players consistently fail to perform, starting with Davies.

3 giveaways

Davies playing the wrong length, Yates nibbling at one that looked already over his stumps just poor decision making and then Mousley after showing some patience chases a full nothing ball and nicks off.

Terrible from us. Davies would have been loaned out or moved on by any other big CC side with how consistently poor he has been.

Yates & Mousley, despite their promise & the fact that as home grown players we all want them to succeed are just not progressing.

They are up against Jack White & Ben Cliff though..........................

Poor decision to put them back in

We should have piled the misery on and seen where we were with 15 overs left of play.

All we have done is play them into form and flogged our bowlers.

Looking flat, both the pitch and the bowling.

Fully agree

Forgot to post on this game:

Good win & good to see Webster take a couple of late wickets after Barker's heroics.

Thompson & Webster are good AR's but we already have 2 in Woakes & Barnard. Woakes was poor in this game and should still make a difference over the season but everything just looks much of a muchness regarding our seamers. Webster is a batting AR.......has he & Thompson improved our attack? I would say not. Bamber takes wickets with the new ball but then tapers off, Booth is still quite raw and erratic

We needed to recruit either a proper quickie or a top end spinner to give us something different, as it is we are no better off than last season with players like Thompson taking the place of our own home grown kids.

Completely comfortable for an average Sussex full of journeymen.

Another mid table (at best) finish for us this season.

Sorry but this is not good enough from us.

One of our big problems over the last couple of seasons has been taking the last 6 or 7 wickets in the 2nd innings and it has not been resolved.

I thought we were a little fortunate to bowl them out for just over 200 in the first innings, several of those wickets were given away.

I am not sure what our plans are but bowling short, wide, down leg side or too full will not make those plans work. We certainly cant put any kind of pressure on the batsmen with a few maidens in the way that Sussex did to us.

Woakes has bowled poorly all game, Webster doesn't seem to add anything and after a reasonable spell Thompson has now reverted to bowling bouncers down the leg side.

We have all these seam options but nothing different by the looks of it.

Thompson has just bowled Hughes (a very lucky played on), hopefully this will pep them up but it isnt too good this bowling.
