Interesting to note that the Surrey co-commentator chirping on about the pitch being potentially chosen to stop Surrey getting wickets and constantly banging on about how talented Surrey are.

You then put the BBC website on, go to the cricket page and we hardly get a mention.

Of course if we end up with an unlikely win, it will be solely down to the fact that Surrey have had call ups & injuries without any mention of 4 or 5 players that we have missing.

Great win, bowled with discipline throughout & batted really well in the 2nd innings in difficult conditions.

Hopefully Webster will settle in with the ball in hand because his batting could be really handy, press the accelerator when needed or pump a few over the boundary to counter attack.

The ball that got Davies was unplayable but he & Yates set us up nicely.

We are as brittle as biscuits with this line up.

I would be pretty surprised if we get near Yorks total

EDA

Got away with it as Yates snaffles Root!!

Oh dear me

What a drop from Davies..........Root as well.

Really, really bad, game changing bad.

phew..........Smith managed to keep that one stuck in!

And 2 chances to gain a run out...........what a mess

I am not knocking Kai Smith as he is making his breakthrough but that was poor keeping there..........easy chance to his right to snaffle Bess.

You cant be missing chances like that, it was only a couple of feet away from him.

Better bowling now, straighter, closer to the stumps and decent enough length to make the batsmen think

Our bowling is awful, all of them are loose.

Where did this Fernando bloke come from? I reckon he has pinched someone's passport

Conditions are not massively different, yes the sun is popping in and out but pitch is still green & offering some movement and overhead conditions are still changeable.

Just typing as Barnard's 1st ball is slammed for 6. We don't have the menace in our attack unless Booth can get some extra zip to defend a poor total.

Notts bowling lines were very good. So far, Bamber has gone too full, too short, too wide & down leg side. Barnard bowled too short in his first.......OHD gets a pass as it is his first game back.

We may as well go down swinging here and get Notts in whilst the conditions suit bowling

Nobody is going to last for too many shots by the looks of it so just go for it

Mouseley's shot had nowt to do with the pitch, very poor in bad conditions

Well done to the lower middle order and tailenders !

This, could turn out to be an important win. Booth & then Bamber controlled those late overs really well.

If we show this amount of fight during the season, it will take us through a few matches but there are some lessons to be learned from the matches so far.

1 bad shot after another

eta - This will be done by Tea........maybe they all fancy less journey time next season with shorter trips to Northants, Worcs, Leics & Derbys?

Good bit of resistance by Smith with some nice shots as well

I watched the Sussex game & some of today but it is already apparent that we are not going to take 20 wickets. God knows where we get our overseas bowlers from but Fernando is no better than what we have, we can get Miles to bowl short, wide & erratically without flying someone in to do it!!

Booth is not up to it and Bamber looks like a smaller, slower version of Brookes, expensive as well.

Sorry to come across negative folks but I think we will be fighting with Sussex & Worcs to survive relegation this season from what I have seen so far.

Our 'mates' at Worcester are doing a grand job at the minute - 5 down in 15 overs!

I dont know how this can be allowed to continue but it probably will.

We are in complete decline, with our best batman completely out of sorts and looking totally unhappy. The only batsman making runs is off to Durham soon, having relinquished the captaincy.

Our attack looks as stale as as a Greggs loaf at closing time........Miles? Seriously?

A good draw in the end which should see us safe for this season

At least OHD showed application and resistance in a very difficult position

Barnard will have to hit out now and see if he can save us the follow on, if not we are in real trouble here

eta: Oh well
