And against his old county would be especially sweet.

Let's hope OHD can stick around for an hour or so today, and then Webster, Smith, Booth & Bamber can put some runs on the board.

Webster looked in pretty good nick when he came in yesterday, so if he can get a big score & the others chip in I reckon we can get to around 300.

If we're still batting at lunch you'd like to think we've got into a strong position.

Not quite 300 but under the circumstances of 47-4, we would take that. A terrific knock from our debutant overseas player, how often can we have said that.

Webster batted superbly this morning, just a pity the other batsmen didn't stick around a little bit longer. Slightly disappointed with a lead of 48, another 30 or 40 would have been useful. Still, we've got our noses in front.

Over to you, OHD, Bamber, Booth & Barnard.

Root, the past couple of overs, has looked 'in'.

104 runs behind at tea, we really need to get Root out before the close of play tonight or we could be looking at a big total to chase in the fourth innings.

I still think Taz Ali should have been selected, it would have been interesting to see him bowling this afternoon. A bit of spin wouldn't go amiss right now, maybe give Yates a few overs to see what he can do?

JB gone, come on lad that's the spirit, keep chipping away. Would love to see Root out maybe all the Yorkshire team before I come in from the garden, a newly retired man's work is never done.

Ethan Bamber is a great signing! Considering Yorkshire have England's Root, Brooks and Bairstow it's a sterling performance by our bowlers!

185 to win. Could be a tricky chase.

Incredible to think that some people had basically written Bamber off after two games!

Bamber and Barnard have bowled superbly in this match - 15 wickets between them.

What an excellent day of cricket for the Bears, a really great bowling performance and Yates & Davies surviving those awkward few overs at the end to boot.

170 to win tomorrow, all ten wickets in hand, a really strong batting line-up too - we have to be favourites to win this one.

Narrow favourites according to Mike Taylor on commentary but I thought we deserve more than that. A wonderful day’s cricket from us!

Good to see test players playing in the Championship. Shows what we miss so much!

Concur. A very good day's cricket. I think the YouTube coverage provided by Yorkshire has been excellent.

A good position to be in, a few overs at the end of the day is always tricky and I do not agree with Boycott who always said "You have everything to lose and nothing to gain..", well, 15 runs is a nice little chunk out of the target and the way we stuck to our task when they were just 3 down and looking to post a 220-250 lead, was admirable and holding them to less than 3 an over whilst nipping a wicket out every now and then was a real team effort considering their batting line-up. Getting the last 5 for 62 was important as we didn't then have to wonder overnight, just what we would chase, it's now up to us to get over the line.

What a great performance with the ball - 20 wickets! How many times has that happened in the previous 3 seasons.

Bamber is making such a difference. What a good signing.
