Still going for it,though. Holding Hain back for when they need to shut up shop I suppose.

Cant see any point in shutting up shop at any point.

Best thing that could happen is a few sixes.

Don't tell me Hain is injured, or is it "unavailable" ??

14 overs in 70 minutes. That's really not on - hope they get a suitable fine.

Hain is apparently struggling with injury.

Looks like he is really struggling to move.

Hadn't realised Hain is injured - looked in real trouble first ball.

Daft decision to send in Hain-he is a slow scorer at the best of times. Briggs should have come in.

Well we've pretty much ensure there will be a result, barring any delays!

Hain getting run out is reckless. Pretty much guarantees 2nd division cricket next year.......Robinson needs to go. Get Gilo and AD back in....!

What is Bethells average this year for Warwickshire?
I’m not sure I’ve seen him get to double figures in red ball or T20.
He’s young, but he’s been anointed the second coming, and frankly has been pretty poor.
If we’d picked Sibley or Burgess in the T20, we might have been able to keep one of them. Though on the Burgess side, from my understanding part of that was because Davies was promised the gloves and no competition in T20.

Well that didn't go to plan but with the length of time it took this lot to bowl their overs, I am glad they didn't win the title and they were lucky to win the T20.

Hants 56/4.....a glimmer of hope, but we're probably 40 runs short. Lamb and Burgess should've played and they might've got those runs and probably a bigger score in the first innings. These decisions are huge and the selectors/management need to explain themselves.

My only concern at 73-5 is that the other bowling will let Hampshire off the hook and not support Norwell who has been superb.

Woakes, Stone, Siraj, any of those or all three and we would win this - we might yet, but Woakes getting fit just in time for England duty is galling!

We are not relagated due to this match, but due to the poor performances all season, especially the abysmal batting from Davies and Yates, and the weird selection policy that leaves out two of our leading run scorers, combined with the pathetic policy of signing short term overseas players, who had no intention of honouring the contracts.

Higher quality bowling coaches, at both first and second team level, are needed, together with much better man management from the head coach and DOR.

Pointless putting Briggs on here

We need Norwell & OHD with catchers in situ..........nowt left to lose now

Edit to that, we may as well give Brookes a couple of overs and ask him to bowl as quickly as possible to see if he can do anything...........runs do not matter now
