Is he any good, I can't remember!?
Showed glimpses but the jury is out.

We win by an innings and 21 runs. Great to get the first win on the board and so emphatically. Rhodes and OH-D with the stand out performances.
OHD took his 500th Bears wicket today
Burgess took his 250th w/k dismissal
123/7 at lunch, good mornings work.
I wish him well too and hope he gets through the rigours of a Test match unscathed. Nothing would give me more pleasure than seeing Olly taking a hat-full of wickets.
Somerset set a target of 369 in 68 overs which is roughly 5.4 runs an over.
13:50pm start if no more rain.
Another 5fer for Barnard who has his hand up for player of the season for me. What a signing he’s been, a good honest county pro who plays wholeheartedly but without ego.
Those Overton boys are thugs and their father is worse. I sat behind him at a game once and the profanities and racist comments were so bad I had to move. The apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree.

I spoke to a fellow yesterday who knows I follow cricket but has never shown any interest himself. A friend of his got tickets to the eliminator at The Oval so he went along. He said it was very exciting, he thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely go to a 100 game again. He remarked how different it was to the ‘boring’ cricket that was on the BBC back in the day.
It’s definitely not for me but I can see the appeal for new audiences.I bet he will go to a few of these games and then he will find constant 6s and 4s becomes repetitive and boring and will move on to his next adrenalin fix. Could this be what the BBC are starting to find?
You are probably right. I think he picked a good game to go to because it ended in a Jofra Archer super-over (or should that be a super-five?) so was probably better than the average 100 game.
