"Academy All Rounder, Isaac Mohammed, who scored a double century earlier in the week, for Warwickshire Under 18's, is in the SACA team."

That may not be the case as he bowled 6 overs for the U18's in Abergavenny this morning.

There would be almost zero return on the investment.

I'd be surpised if any county was making significant investment in developing outgrounds,

One the subject of outgrounds, Rugby School has zero facilities for spectators, Nuneaton has even less facilities, the outfield at Stratford is not fit for first class or list a cricket and facilities and Cov & NW are not good.

Sadly there isn't a club, or school ground in the county that would be suitable to host a first class or list a game.

Sam has a significant hamstring injury, it's possible that he was able to play a 20 over game, but is still not fit enough to be risked over 4 days.

The obvious selection would be to leave Lintott, who is not a good red ball bowler out from the 12, which will give us a very strong batting line up.

Do not forget the contribution from Moeen. He bowled an excellent controlled spell, going for just 2 runs per over, he then had the character to offer to go in at three to help the team,

Both our players showed a great deal of character and ability.

The Doshi's & the Ibadulla's almost did

Isn't there dirty kit that needs washing :-)

Seriously though, if there are negative comments about the wicket for this game, I hope they are not directed at Gary Barwell as he isn't reponsible for the preperation of the strip.

I see that worcestershire have just given a first class debut to a 19 year old, originally from Wolverhampton.

However, he has committed the "sin" of having a private school education!

Cricket in Warwickshire & Worcestershire is actually very diverse, not only ethnically, but also in terms of players backgrounds and occupation.

Perhaps we should be celebrating all the good things that the local cricket community is doing, including clubs providing a venue for local community groups, of all types, to meet and the good work that the clubs do in delivering cricket coaching to children that the state funded education system is failing to do.

Sam Hain, and his brothers were at a private school, as their father was head of sport there, Dan Mousley was on a sports scholarship at Bablake.
Jacob Bethell was at Rugby School, both the Maddy boys are at Solihull school, their father is head of cricket there.
Of recent former players, Ed Pollock attended RGS Worcester, Tom Banton was at Bromsgrove school, then moved to Kings Taunton, both schools gave him cricket scholarships.
The majority of players in the clubs U18 side are from state schools, and that side is very ethnically diverse, the same is true for the U15 girls & U12 boys sides.
(I have umpired all 3 in the last few weeks.)

It was previously reported he has a stress fracture, so will be unable to bowl again this season.

Is Hassan actually fit to play?, he seems to have been injured for a lot of his time here.

Looked a good decision, pitched around middle and leg, from a left arm wrist spinner and turned to be hitting middle.

You can't blame the umpire for a bad decision by the batsman.

And now Davies out with a ridiculous shot

What the hell are these batsmen thinking?
You could write the above about Davies almost every time he bats!

Is it Richard Le Savage?

Yes for the T20 competition, not for first class cricket!

Winning is a lot easier with a good opening partnership, I will say no more!
